VFD Panel

A VFD panel houses a frequency inverter (variable frequency drive) together with its protection, cooling, filters and controls in one enclosure. It controls the speed of a motor so the process gets exactly the flow, pressure or speed it needs, and saves energy on pumps and fans.

How to choose

• Drive rating for the motor kW and duty.
• Input protection: MCCB or fuses, line reactor and EMC filter.
• Cooling: fans and filters sized for the drive heat.
• Control: local keypad, pressure sensor, PLC or BMS link.
• Bypass starter where the motor must run if the drive fails.
