Dry-Type Transformer

A dry-type transformer uses no insulating liquid. Its windings and core are insulated with solid (cast-resin) insulation and air instead of oil.

With no oil to leak or catch fire, dry-type units are the choice for indoor substations, high-rise buildings and factories where fire safety matters.
